Overview

The Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) Policy Lab features articles and resources underlining the value of improving maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes. The resources include information on international policies, private sector engagement, financing issues, and key organizations involved in the field of MNH. Key partnerships, collaborations, and innovations from science, industry, and policy can address health challenges facing mothers, newborns, and children around the world. The purpose of the Maternal and Newborn Health Policy Lab is to highlight existing alliances, and to provide tools for stakeholders working in MNH.

The 2010 Pacific Health Summit addressed the theme of maternal and newborn health, integrating key outcomes from a series of important MNH events preceding the June Summit. Rather than a “technical” meeting, the Summit gathered a highly diverse group of important stakeholders from science, industry, and policy in an interactive, forward-looking, moderated discussion. Our goal was to forge new alliances and provide a launching pad for innovation and collaboration to improve health outcomes for women and newborns.
