Maternal and Newborn Health Policy Lab

Overview

The 2010 Pacific Health Summit will focus on maternal and newborn health (MNH). Relying on the Summit's demonstrated ability to foster collaborations and launch new initiatives, we can–together–forge integrated alliances within the field and enlist new partners to improve health outcomes for mothers and babies. The challenges to maternal and newborn health come from many directions. As the globe strives to meet those challenges, we see a unique chance to employ new science that is exciting and relevant, mobilize political will that is increasing in many corners of the world, and engage the private sector now eager to contribute its knowhow. The 2010 Summit will bring together a unique set of individuals from science, industry, health systems, and government in an interactive, moderated discussion that will move the maternal and newborn health agenda forward.
